Overview
The B00Y44 is a three-axis IEPE shock accelerometer built on a unique piezoelectric ceramic shear structure with a wide-band frequency response and a resonance above 70 kHz, which keeps zero shift to a minimum during severe impacts. With 0.5 mV/g sensitivity and a ±10,000 g range it is a high-range model in the family for severe shock and impact testing. Typical uses include middleweight and lightweight shock tables, drop-table and impact testing, bursting tests and munitions and ordnance qualification.
A built-in low-impedance circuit gives low noise and a well-behaved sensitivity temperature response, and the laser-welded low-density titanium-alloy housing measures just 15 × 15 × 10 mm and weighs 7.8 g. Each axis has its own calibration hole, a ⌀4.1 mm center through-hole lets the sensor be bolted down at any orientation, and insulated mounting components ship as standard. A single 1/4-28 4-pin side connector carries all three channels on one cable.
Why engineers choose the B00Y44
Built for shock
Shear-mode ceramics with a resonance ≥ 70 kHz and a ≤ 0.5 s discharge time constant capture fast transients cleanly, rated to 12,000 g pk shock with minimal zero shift. Non-linearity 3%.
Three axes, one bolt
Simultaneous X, Y and Z measurement from a single 15 × 15 × 10 mm block with ≤ 5% transverse sensitivity. The center through-hole mounts at any angle, and per-axis calibration holes make verification straightforward.
Built-in IEPE electronics
Low-impedance circuit with 2–20 mA constant-current excitation and 8–12 V bias, spectral noise of 800 µg/√Hz at 100 Hz and 0.02 g rms broadband resolution. Drives long cables straight into any IEPE-compatible DAQ.
