Overview

The B02CM1 is a miniature teardrop uniaxial IEPE accelerometer with a built-in miniature impedance converter that conditions the piezoelectric charge signal to a low-impedance voltage output. With 10 mV/g sensitivity and a ±500 g range it is a high-range member of the family, built for high-level vibration and moderate shock on small, light test articles. Typical uses include PCB and electronics vibration testing, environmental stress screening, drop and durability testing on small components.

A highly integrated miniature circuit gives excellent long-term output stability and repeatability, and the laser-welded titanium-alloy teardrop housing keeps the whole sensor to 11 × 8.5 × 5.1 mm and 1 g for minimal mass loading on the test structure. An integral high-temperature cable with a side exit and the adhesive base mount make it easy to install where there is no room for a connector.

Minimal mass loading

At 1 g and 11 × 8.5 × 5.1 mm, the B02CM1 barely changes the response of PCBs, small components and light structures, so what you measure is the structure, not the sensor.

Miniature built-in electronics

Built-in impedance converter with 2–20 mA constant-current excitation delivers a low-impedance IEPE output with spectral noise of 40 µg/√Hz at 100 Hz, 0.001 g rms broadband resolution and excellent long-term stability and repeatability.

Laser-welded titanium teardrop

Laser-welded titanium-alloy teardrop housing sealed to IP68, rated to 2,000 g rms vibration and 5,000 g pk shock, with bandwidth to 10 kHz and resonance ≥ 59 kHz. Adhesive mount with an integral side-exit cable.
