Overview
The A05D06 is a shock-resistant uniaxial capacitive MEMS accelerometer with true DC response, so it measures static acceleration, tilt and slow motion as well as vibration and survives 10,000 g shocks that would destroy a standard DC accelerometer. A variable-capacitance MEMS element with internal AC excitation and demodulation outputs a single-ended voltage signal proportional to acceleration, and with 40 mV/g sensitivity and a ±50 g range it is the most sensitive model in the family, with ±50 g, 4 kHz bandwidth and the lowest noise for DC-response measurement that still has to survive hard knocks. Typical uses include road-load data acquisition on body and subframe points, civil structural testing, low-frequency and tilt measurement on machinery exposed to impacts.
The response is flat within ±5% from DC to 4 kHz (±10% to 5 kHz) with a 21 kHz resonance, ≤ 1.5% transverse sensitivity and 0.1% typical non-linearity, a ±2 V full-scale output and noise of 25 µg/√Hz over 0 – 100 Hz. It runs from any 6 – 30 VDC supply with low power consumption. The laser-welded titanium-alloy HEX 16 × 15 mm housing weighs 10.2 g, is sealed to IP68, and carries a 1/4-28 4-pin connector with the signal ground isolated from the housing and an M5 stud mount (10-32 optional).
Why engineers choose the A05D06
Survives 10,000 g
Rated to 10,000 g pk shock and 10,000 g rms vibration, so the sensor keeps working through crash pulses, drops and hard impacts that exceed the survival limit of most DC-response accelerometers, and the 21 kHz resonance keeps the response clean to 4 kHz.
True DC response
Capacitive MEMS sensing measures from 0 Hz, so static tilt, sustained acceleration and slow motion are captured alongside vibration to 4 kHz. Transverse sensitivity ≤ 1.5%, non-linearity 0.1% typical, with a single-ended ±2 V full-scale output from a 6 – 30 VDC supply at low power.
Rugged sealed titanium
Laser-welded HEX 16 × 15 mm titanium-alloy housing sealed to IP68, weighing 10.2 g and rated to −40 to +125 °C. Signal ground isolated from the housing, 1/4-28 4-pin connector and M5 stud mount at 3.0 N·m, with a 10-32 thread version available.
