Overview
The C00Y41 is a charge-mode (PE) three-axis shock accelerometer built on a unique piezoelectric ceramic shear structure with a wide-bandwidth frequency response and a resonance above 85 kHz, which keeps zero drift to a minimum during severe impacts. With 0.5 pC/g charge sensitivity and a ±10,000 g range it is the mid-range model in the family, with ±10,000 g on all three axes for severe shock and impact testing. Typical uses include medium-duty shock tables, drop-table and impact testing, blast shock testing and munitions and ordnance qualification.
With no built-in electronics the sensor works from −50 °C to +230 °C and pairs with any charge amplifier, which sets the low-frequency limit of the system. Shape-memory alloy fasteners keep the shear structure stable and reliable through repeated impacts. The laser-welded titanium-alloy 14.2 × 14.2 × 10 mm housing weighs just 8 g, each axis has its own calibration hole, a ⌀4.1 mm center through-hole lets the sensor be bolted down at any orientation, three M5 connectors bring out the X, Y and Z channels, and insulated mounting hardware ships as standard.
Why engineers choose the C00Y41
Built for shock
Shear-mode ceramics with a resonance ≥ 85 kHz capture fast transients cleanly on all three axes, rated to 20,000 g pk with minimal zero shift. ±10% response over 5 – 11k Hz, non-linearity 3%, transverse sensitivity ≤ 5%.
Charge mode, +230 °C
No internal electronics means nothing to overheat or saturate: the C00Y41 runs continuously at +230 °C and pairs with any charge amplifier or charge-input DAQ, with 300 pF capacitance and ≥ 10¹¹ Ω insulation resistance for a clean, stable charge signal.
Three axes, one bolt
Simultaneous X, Y and Z measurement from a single 14.2 × 14.2 × 10 mm titanium block weighing 8 g. The center through-hole mounts 360° at any angle, per-axis calibration holes make verification straightforward, and three M5 connectors (10-32 optional) take standard low-noise charge cables.
