Overview
The B02CM5 is an ultra-miniature uniaxial IEPE accelerometer with a built-in miniature impedance converter that conditions the piezoelectric charge signal to a low-impedance voltage output. With 10 mV/g sensitivity and a ±500 g range it is the higher-sensitivity model of the pair, with a lower noise floor for general vibration testing on the smallest and lightest test articles. Typical uses include PCB vibration testing, ESS, modal work on tiny components and measurements in confined spaces.
A highly integrated miniature ASIC gives excellent long-term output stability and repeatability, and the laser-welded titanium-alloy housing keeps the whole sensor to 4.3 × 3.9 × 5.75 mm and 0.35 g, so it adds almost no mass to the test structure. An integral high-temperature cable with a side exit and the adhesive base mount let it go where no connectorized sensor can.
Why engineers choose the B02CM5
Almost no mass loading
At 0.35 g and 4.3 × 3.9 × 5.75 mm, the B02CM5 is small enough to sit on a component lead or a PCB trace without changing what you are measuring, so tiny parts and light structures behave as they would unloaded.
Miniature ASIC electronics
Highly integrated ASIC impedance converter with 2–20 mA constant-current excitation delivers a low-impedance IEPE output with spectral noise of 40 µg/√Hz at 100 Hz, 0.001 g rms broadband resolution and excellent long-term stability and repeatability.
Laser-welded titanium housing
Laser-welded titanium-alloy housing sealed to IP68, rated to 1,500 g rms vibration and 2,000 g pk shock, with bandwidth to 10 kHz and resonance ≥ 50 kHz. Adhesive mount with an integral side-exit high-temperature cable.
